Umbrot - Light installation on Kópavogschurch

The light art installation Umbrot 2026 will be projected onto Kópavogur Church. The artist who designed the work this year is Hekla Dögg Jónsdóttir.

The description of the work states: The shape of the church is reminiscent of the natural shapes of sea ice that break when an icebreaker slowly sails through the ice floe. The shapes transform and are in constant motion, overlapping with the shape of the church.

Please note that the work will be projected on both February 6th and 7th from 6pm to 11pm.
