The light artwork Synergy 2.0 is by Katerina Blahutova and Þorsteinn Eyfjörð, who together with Owen Hindley form the art collective Mercury Maze Studio.

The work is projected onto the Hnitbjörg building, which houses the museum by Einar Jónsson.

PLEASE NOTE: The artwork may affect people with epilepsy.

The piece is an interactive video, light, and sound installation projected onto Hnitbjörg, the building that houses the Einar Jónsson Museum. In this multilayered work, audiences can explore the building’s architecture and the surrounding acoustics through a transformation of matter and spirit.

In direct interaction with the artwork, viewers activate a connection between the physical and the metaphysical, traveling through the building via digital mapping technology. Architectural structures come to life as walls appear to rotate and the indoor sculptures spring into motion.
